The Breastfeeding Resource Guide

I took (and passed!) my IBCLC certification test in July of 2006 after several years of working in the lactation field as a Breastfeeding Coordinator for WIC and as a Patient Educator at Palmetto Health Richland. My B.S. and M.S. were earned at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. My practice at Palmetto Health Richland is mostly well baby postpartum work, but our NICU LC is kind enough to let me help her (thank you Kathy!) and gain experience in that setting, also. Phone and out-patient consults round out my days. These are open to all moms whether they delivered at Palmetto Health Richland or somewhere else. Our lactation shop, Stork's Landing, offers plenty of opportunities to stay busy with pump sales and rentals as well as sales of breastfeeding related stuff. Then there's the monthly Breastfeeding class which is always lot of fun! So I manage to stay busy as a part-time employee at Palmetto Health Richland. The rest of my life is filled with my wonderful husband of 15 years, raising and homeschooling my two sons (10 & 13), keeping 1 cat and 2 dogs out of trouble, teaching the 4th-6th grade Sunday School class at my church, and staying cancer-free.
