The Breastfeeding Resource Guide

The Lactation Services department at St. Francis Eastside is designed to help breastfeeding mothers by providing active services such as: inpatient support, prenatal breast assessment (by appointment), prenatal breastfeeding class, outpatient services (by appointment), weight checks (by appointment), phone consultations, breastfeeding supplies, pump rentals and purchases, and consultations for all lactating mothers. We provide expert advice on subjects such as: sore nipples, over active let down, yeast, mastitis, positioning, engorgement, decreased milk supply, working mothers, adoptive mothers, implications of breast surgeries, multiples, nutrition, poor latch on, ineffective suck, poor weight gain, food allergies, special care babies, supplementation, weaning, and special situations.
